Lowertown

Lowertown is a small hamlet just north of Helston in Cornwall.

The hamlet is on the river Cober and research has shown that the original name of this river was the Lo or Lwr which gives its name to Loe/Lwr/Lo Pool three miles downstream and also indicates that the original name of the hamlet may have been Lwrtown or Lo Town.
